bramble brain

The first thing I saw when I went out this morning (after the snow had melted) was a shiny black hearse. That seems lucky.

Slogging through a morass of unpleasantly selfly bureaucratic papers, trying to remember interesting things I have done (and will do!) to keep me pepped...

Wunders!

* Catherine, Denise and I went to see Shockheaded Peter some years ago, a joyfully morbid and wickedly moralizing children's fable peopled by puppets and musicked by the Tigerlillies...that was fun.

I'd see it weekly if it wasn't over.

* Those waves remind me of one of my favorite, lovingly and occasionally malinformative museums, which is really the primary string calling me back to Los Angeles (aside from the puppet strings of Bob Baker...), especially with all the hubbub at UCLA regarding tuition. Incidentally, UCLA is the root of my gloom, I think, the root that sprouts all those paperworks necessary to apply to grad school. Humbug.

* Speaking of school, I wrote a paper once about Spanish horror movies in the 1960s. I watched 3 movies a day for at least a week.

How terrible is that, I can't think of anything else. My ego is sufficiently inflated for now, I guess. Austin's yelping over LA, and I'd like to visit soon...I could be a longhorn, or whatever UT students are. That would be ok.
